Toshu Yamamoto was called the master of the Rokuro.
He likes symmetrical neat modeling.
This is a late work in his career.
This teabowl was fired in a gas kiln co-developed with his eldest son Yuuichi Yamamoto.
This gas kiln has an effect to make the white color stronger than general Hidaski works.
This teabowl was exhibited in a solo exhibition held at a department store in Osaka in 1968.

He was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture in 1906.
He was accredited as a living human national treasure in 1987.
He died in 1994.

This work was produced using the technique of "Shizen　Nerikomi".
"Shizennerikomi" means natural kneading.
Using techniques devised by Fumio Kawabata, he creates works without completely mixing clay.
The difference in the composition of each clay results in a different color and a marble pattern.
The red part of this mizusashi is Hidaski.
This mizusashi also has a lacquered lid.

Yu Fujiwara had a handicap in his sight but therefore produced a daring style.
This teabowl has a very strong presence in your hands.
But it's tuned just fine without being too heavy.
Three "botamochi" which are particular about Yu Fujiwara are also beautiful.
The three red parts "Botamochi" on the front, inside, and back are wonderful.
You can enjoy "Botamochi" both when you drink tea and when you look at the bowl after finishing.
