Sozan Kaneshige - Hidasuki Sakazuki

This Sakazuki was made by Sozan when he was 60 to 70 years old.
This Hidasuki Sakazuki was fired in an electric kiln.
His electric kiln has ducts and can burn firewood.

The flame of a firewood creates a beautiful surface that cannot be achieved by electricity alone.
The high level of conditioning has allowed the clay to reach an excellent quality and the surface is very smooth.
