He is commissioned to make bespoke tableware by a famous restaurant in Osaka.
And in Bizen, he is learning about Bizen ware from his teacher, Fumio Kawabata.
Toutai means a piece of lacquered pottery.
Red lacquer is applied to the skin of Bizen ware and is bright, but it is in a carmine color that is not too flashy.
The platinum part is a technique called "Byakudan painting".
He uses a thin layer of silver foil and lacquer on top to make it look platinum.

The melted ash has solidified and changed like a black stone.
Only the sides of the body are Kasegoma due to the different way the fire hits them.
Kasegoma part has a very vivid red clay color that is typical of him.
