16,500 YEN
Sold out

size : W6.2cm×6.0cm×H5.5cm

Takashi Soga researches old Bizen were and uses it as a hint for his work creation.
He does not use any kiln tools made with modern chemistry.
He wants to recreate the environment where the old Bizen ware was made in his atelier.
His work, made in a unique environment, is very similar to old Bizen ware.
In this work, the glossy part and the non-glossy part are clearly separated.
In addition to the glossy, the texture of clay is also wonderful, so it looks like old Bizen ware.

Masayuki Higuchi - Shino Guinomi

4,500 YEN
Sold out

size : W7.2cm×6.9cm×H6.0cm

This is Shino's Guinomi made by Masayuki Higuchi around 2007.
This Guinomi has a wonderful body design by the potter's wheel.
The teachings of Toshu Yamamoto and the sculpture techniques he learned at university are utilized in this work.
Shino glaze seems to be a mixture of a slight gray color and a slight blue color.
The iron painting is reddish brown and looks like a burning flame.
This Guinomi has a very strong silhouette including glaze, but it is easy to hold and just light.

Makoto Nakamura - Bizen Guinomi

18,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W8.0cm×8.0cm×H4.8cm

Makoto Nakamura is the eldest son of Rokuro Nakamura.
He faithfully reproduces the style of Rokuro Nakamura.
He is also good at making sake wares, just like Rokuro Nakamura.
This Guinomi expresses the red color beautifully by the Nakamura family's original fire method.
When drinking Sake, the red color changes more beautifully with water.
And the green Kasegoma will change to a smoother texture as you use it.

Yuho Kaneshige - Imbe Hai

22,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W8.0cm×7.9cm×H4.4cm

Yuho Kaneshige is the third son of Sozan Kaneshige.
He inherited Inbe's house and kiln from his father.
He was presenting traditional Kaneshige style works.
But around 2018 he started a new challenge.
He demolished the kiln that he inherited from his father and made a more primitive kiln.
This Guinomi was burned in 2007 in a small kiln next to it, not in its demolished kiln.
He uses a lot of mountain clay to make this Guinomi.
Mountain clay cannot be transformed by potter's wheel for a longer time than rice field clay.
That is why it has a simple and powerful design.

Tomoyuki Oiwa - Kuro Tokkuri

29,700 YEN
Sold out

size : W9.3cm×6.7cm×H16.5cm

He is a disciple of Ryuichi Kakurezaki.

He makes works with normal Bizen clay, and paints black clay after drying.
"Kuro" is made of clay with a high iron content in the Osafune district of Okayama prefecture.
Add a small amount of cobalt after dissolving them in water to make it liquid.
The black clay applied to the work changes to beautiful black when fired.

Shuroku Harada - Bizen Shinogi Tokkuri

120,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W10.1cm×9.8cm×H11.6cm 140㏄

Shuroku Harada was studying old Bizen ware.
He was a student of ceramics researcher Katsura Matasaburo.
The knowledge gained is the basis of his pottery style.
He hasn't fired kiln in recent years.
This Tokkuri is made quite thick and then scraped off with a spatula.
Therefore, the title is "Shinogi".
The Shinogi technique allows you to enjoy turning clay and raising stone grains, but this Tokkuri is even more surprising.
That is the power of the shaving itself.
It's very interesting because it feels like it's cut with a small Katana.
