Tosyu Yamamoto was called the master of the Rokuro.
He likes symmetrical neat modeling.
This is a late work in his career.
This Yunomi was fired in a gas kiln co-developed with his eldest son Yuuichi Yamamoto.
This gas kiln has an effect to make the white color stronger than general Hidaski works.
The edges are very thin and I feel the aesthetics of his potter's wheel.

He firing with a straight hole-shaped kiln called "Anagama".
The flame of Anagama kiln blows into the back of kiln at a stretch.
The fired works will have a brown or white gradation based on the bright red.
He wrapped rice straw in his work and fired it.
The color and shape of rice straw changes from part to part due to the influence of natural glaze.
This new work was fired in 2021 May.

Add a small amount of cobalt after dissolving them in water to make it liquid.
The black clay applied to the work changes to beautiful black when fired.
The inside is fired with Hidasuki without applying black clay.
By doing so you can enjoy the bubbling and color change.

This Yunomi is second hand.
