Sold out

size : W6.8cm×6.6cm×H5.7cm

The Yamamoto clan is good at modeling without distortion by rokuro.
This Guinomi was fired by Yuichi Yamamoto in 1980.
It is fired by a very strong flame and its effect can be seen in various parts.
A large amount of natural glaze is layered in three layers.
The clay color is a natural black color that is not painted clay.
His design does not incorporate deformation or distortion, but is slightly distorted due to the effects of flames.

Tosyu Yamamoto - Bizen Guinomi

Tosyu Yamamoto was called the master of the Rokuro.
He likes symmetrical neat modeling.
It is a work from around the middle of his career.

Small stone grains add chaos to the symmetrical shape of Kodai.

Tosyu Yamamoto - Bizen Tokkuri

150,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W9.8cm×H9.5cm×H14.2cm 530cc

This Tokkuri is the final piece of his career.
Toshu Yamamoto was called the master of the Rokuro.
He likes symmetrical neat modeling.
Always his Tokkuri body is almost circular.
However, this Tokkuri is distorted by a few millimeters because it was installed in a place with a lot of heat.
I feel that the distortion of a few millimeters is a trace of the battle between the master of rokuro and the flame.
And this Tokkuri was loved by a strong flame and acquired a Goma that looks like a mixture of green and gold, dark black and a beautiful reddish purple color.

He makes works with normal Bizen clay, and paints black clay after drying.
"Kuro" is made of clay with a high iron content.

Shuroku Harada - Bizen Guinomi

100,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W8.7cm×7.7cm×H6.6cm

Shuroku Harada was studying old Bizen ware.
He was a student of ceramics researcher Katsura Matasaburo.
The knowledge gained is the basis of his pottery style.
He hasn't fired kiln in recent years.
This Guinomi has a lot of natural glaze so that it seems as if it was glazed.
The strong flame produces a natural black color due to the reaction between the clay components and the flame.
There is his own way to make the body.
He builds the body by stacking clay into tubes.
Finally, a large cut with a spatula "Shinogi" is used to complete the design.
The inner edges have hidden cuts to improve usability rather than design, which helps to understand his style of pottery.

Mitsuru Isezaki - Imbe Yunomi

11,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W7.2cm×6.8cm×H9.2cm

Mitsuru Isezaki is one of the potters who inherited Bizen ware redeveloped by Toyo Kanesige.
His pottery style is simple and undecorated to show off the goodness of the clay.
This work was fired by him around 2004.
The surface of this Yunomi has a rainbow-colored fire pattern called "Kinsai".
Due to the influence of Kinsai, Hangzhou has also changed to a metallic color.

Hakudei is a word meaning white mud.
The color is a bluish white, and some of the glaze has run off, like Madara-Karatsu.

Iwao Kaneshige - Imbe Tokkuri

33,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W9.0cm×8.8cm×H13.2cm 300cc

He learned the spirit of the Kanesige family and how to make clay from an early age.
His recent works are mostly glaze works and works with extremely few fire patterns.
He fired this Tokkuri roughly 10 years ago in the kiln he inherited from his grandfather and father.
He does not like excessive fire patterns with natural glaze.
He prefers fire patterns that occur in amounts that naturally adhere during the firing process of the piece.
This Tokkuri has a slight Yohen and Kasegoma, and a beautiful scarlet clay color.
These are Kanesige fire patterns that are now rarely seen in his works.

Michiaki Kaneshige - Imbe Guinomi

66,000 YEN

size : W6.7cm×6.7cm×H5.6cm

Michiaki Kaneshige is the eldest son of Toyo Kanesige.
He creates traditional Bizen ware and innovative sculptures while following the teachings of his father, Toyo Kaneshige.
I assume from the box and style that this Guinomi was produced towards the end of his career.
This Guinomi has many fire patterns such as Goma, Sangiri, and red clay color.
Among them, the clay color is very wonderful.
Red, orange, purplish red, brown, etc. are rapidly changing to create a complex and wonderful clay color.
When you pour liquor, the clay color gets wet and becomes a more wonderful color that intoxicates you.
