Takeshi Kaneshige - Bizen Guinomi

9,900 YEN
Sold out

size : W7.5cm×7.4cm×H5.2cm

This Guinomi is an early work of his.
This piece was fired using the kiln inherited from his grandfather, Toyo Kaneshige, and his father, Michiaki Kaneshige.
A closer look at the clay color reveals that it is very similar to his father's Michiaki.
The rustic, unadorned design is wonderful.

Zenji Urakami - Bizen Shuhai

20,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W7.3cm×7.1cm×H5.9cm

This Guinomi was fired by him around 1989.
This work seems to encompass the fire pattern in his Noborigama kiln.
Botamochi with silver effect looks like a silvery moon.
Other examples are Sangiri, which looks frozen, and Guinomi, which has clay colors like a morning sky and is very spectacular.

Tosyu Yamamoto - Bizen Guinomi

70,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W6.8cm×6.7cm×H6.1cm

Tosyu Yamamoto was called the master of the Rokuro.
He likes symmetrical neat modeling.
This is a late work in his career.
This Guinomi is made from a clay with relatively low iron content, which gives it a lighter overall color.
The finely scattered natural glaze covers the entire piece like a black snowstorm.
The natural glaze on the inside has lost its luster and looks like desert sand.

Shuroku Harada - Bizen Guinomi

40,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W7.2cm×6.8cm×H6.5cm

Shuroku Harada was studying old Bizen ware.
He was a student of ceramics researcher Katsura Matasaburo.
The knowledge gained is the basis of his pottery style.
He hasn't fired kiln in recent years.
Looking at the enclosed resume, I presume that it was made around 1987.
He completed the shape by shaving this Guinomi with a wooden spatula.
It has a visual effect, leaving a shaving mark, and it is speculated that it was the basis of his "Shinogi technique" later.

Yuho Kaneshige - Bizen Guinomi

27,500 YEN
Sold out

size : W6.0cm×5.5cm×H6.3cm

Yuho Kaneshige is the third son of Sozan Kaneshige.
He inherited Inbe's house and kiln from his father.
He was presenting traditional Kaneshige style works.
But around 2018 he started a new challenge.
He demolished the kiln that he inherited from his father and made a more primitive kiln.
This Guinomi was created around 1987.
This is a work that shows his unique sense of style, even though it was created when he was a young man.

Kazuki Nakamura - Bizen Guinomi

10,000 YEN
Sold out

Kazuki Nakamura is the grandson of Rokuro Nakamura.
He faithfully reproduces the style of Rokuro Nakamura.
He is also good at making sake wares, just like Rokuro Nakamura.
This work was fired in April 2023.
This Guinomi expresses the red color beautifully by the Nakamura family's original fire method.
The strong fire pattern and the bright scarlet color are beautiful.
When drinking Sake, the bright scarlet color changes more beautifully with water.

Makoto - Bizen Guinomi

77,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W6.5cm×6.3cm×H6.2cm

He inherits the skills of his father, Sozan Kanesige.
I feel Sozan Kanesige's powerful and intense design from his work.
And since they have valued clay for generations, they have great clay.
This Guinomi was fired in October 2021.
His "Maruyagama" features a beautiful blue Kase Goma.
When you are done using it, he said, paint the red clay-colored area with Sake and let Guinomi himself have a drink.

Based on Bizen clay, it was glazed with Shino and baked in Bizen Noborigam kiln.
Shino glaze changed to more complex shades with Noboligama kiln.

Yu Fujiwara - Bizen Shuhai

90,000 YEN

size : W6.7cm×6.5cm×H5.3cm

Yu Fujiwara had a handicap in his sight but therefore produced a daring style.
This Guinomi has a very strong presence in your hands.
But it's tuned just fine without being too heavy.
Three "botamochi" which are particular about Yu Fujiwara are also beautiful.
The three red parts "Botamochi" on the front, inside, and back are wonderful.
You can enjoy "Botamochi" both when you drink tea and when you look at the bowl after finishing.
