He was an office worker but loved art.
After retiring from the company, he studied pottery as a student at Anjin Abe.
He studied the control of the fire method of the old Bizen from Anjin Abe.
He uses the firing method and clay painting technique taught by Anjin Abe to reproduce the texture and color of old Bizen ware.
This tokkuri is imbe style, so it is painted with a different clay than the main body to generate the black color.
Koichiro Isezaki - Bizen Guinomi

He uses kiln in a tunnel-like shape called "anagama".
This new work was fired in 2021.
This work is made using special white clay collected in the Inve area.

The clay and rice straw caused a soft orange color to develop throughout Guinomi.
