This Beer glass was fired in 2021 June with the kiln he inherited from his father and grandfather.
His works in recent years is a fire pattern with only natural glaze attached during firing like this Beer glass.
Unusually for a beer glass, it has a Ruiza-Mimi on it, making it look like a small jar.

Toyo Kaneshige - Bizen Guinomi

600,000 YEN
Sold out

size : W6.5cm×6.3cm×H5.3cm

I think this Yunomi was made around 1960, guessing from the shape of the Toyo mark.
This Guinomi is made from fine clay with low iron content.
The clay color is complex and varies from reddish purple to brown and light orange.
It has a fire pattern called Kasegoma, which has a texture and color like the epidermis of a plant.
The shape of the body is asymmetrical, giving it a rhythmic impression as if it were dancing.
Koudai's design is very sharp and fast, which gives me an impression contrary to the body.
I believe that this transition between relaxation and tension is what Toyo Kaneshige is known for.
The appraisal of his third son, the potter Kousuke Kanesige, is included.
