This is an early work in Kei Fujiwara's career.
His signature is an early form.
This is a fire pattern often found in Bizen ware in the early Showa era.
The sesame seeds on the upper part of the body are dull and very rough.
The spout is wrapped with rice straw and finished in Hidasuki.
The design of the work is the same as that of the old Bizen ware "Kabura type".
The simple design embodies his ceramic philosophy.

He completed Hidasuki, which was as strong and hard as old Bizen.

His pottery style is simple and undecorated to show off the goodness of the clay.

The surface of this Guinomi has a rainbow-colored fire pattern called "Kinsai".
Due to the influence of Kinsai, Hangzhou has also changed to a metallic color.

Koichiro Isezaki - Bizen Guinomi

Koichiro Isezaki is Jun Isezaki's eldest son.
He uses the same hole type kiln (called anagama in Japan) as his father and father's disciple.
This work has a characteristic shade of anagama.
It features bright colors such as brown and white based on red.
The brown part has a glass-like luster due to the natural glaze and the iron content in the clay.
The clay inside is scraped out with a wooden spatula, and it looks as if a hole was drilled.

Rokuro Nakamura - Bizen Guinomi

This is Guinomi made by Rokuro Nakamura who is called a master of sake ware.
The red clay color on the front part makes it even more beautiful when you use it by getting wet with sake.
The Nakamura clan's unique body design makes it very easy to hold.
I speculate that this Guinomi was made by him between the ages of 60 and 70.
The texture of the surface is very soft and you can see that it was used carefully under the collector.

You can see that he is trying to get closer to his ideal appearance of Old Bizen.

Koichiro Isezaki is Jun Isezaki's eldest son.
He uses kiln in a tunnel-like shape called "anagama".
This new work was fired in 2021.
He makes works with normal Bizen clay, and paints black clay after drying.
"Kuro" is made of clay with a high iron content in the Osafune district of Okayama prefecture.
Add a small amount of cobalt after dissolving them in water to make it liquid.
The black clay applied to the work changes to beautiful black when fired.
